We have a couple dawgs. One old one, and I just bought my wife a newer model for Christmas. It's 1/2 rotweiler and 1/2 Blue Heeler. What a charge he is. My wife named him Chief. The red one below is named Red. She adopted me 5 years ago after having been beaten, neglected, and starved by her original owner. It took two weeks for me to get her trust me but I finally I won her over.

Chief likes to sleep on that oak branch, one that I whittled to stick in the side of of my trailer when I pile logs on it, keeps them from rolling off. I can't use it anymore he is really fond of it. Sawmillers use a tool on their sawmills called "log dogs" to secure the log in place. We have a standing joke about posting out pups and calling themn our "Log Dogs".

I have a log dog too, a beagle I have had for 8 years, he is a good boy "Hoover". He has a new little brother "Rocky", a little 10 pound ankle biter. But he stands guard so his older brother can get a nap.

TT - is Chief turning out to be a log hugger?
I have one cat (Tigger) and my 18 year old dog (Tammy) that is now in doggie heaven. Man I miss her as she went everywhere with me - even on patrol.

Great Thread, and pics.

Heres my two overweight MinPins. They are sisters out of the same litter but for some reason the black one got about twice as big as the red one.

I took these on an outing to the eastern Oregon desert last summer. They wanted to follow me down the steep hill, but had a rough time of it. Grace (Miss Gracie) the black dog finally made it, but Mattie Ross waited at the top.

This is my buddy Hank . He always wants to hang out with me in the wood shop but if I let him, I won't have any lumber to make my projects.. In case you can't tell, he likes to chew any and everything..

One of my customers just informed me today that my dog was in fact NOT a Rottwieler/Heeler mix but in his opinion a Rottwieler/Catahoula mix.

I told him all I knew was that the mom was Rott because even I know that much from having seen her, and the owners said the other breed was Heeler. My custtomer - who spoke with great authority and convcinced me (me being quite canine-breed illiterate) that he was right and I believed him, said that Chief was absolutely Rott/Catahoula.

Go figure. I wiull post an updated picture of him and hope some of you are familiar with the mix. Not likely though it is even more rare than Rott/Heeler from my brief online searches. All I know is he is growing like 10 weeds.

Chief is a nice looking pup. I can't imagine that log would be very comfortable though.

Here's my two babies.

Sneakers, the tabby, is a male, about 10-1/2 years old, and weighs 21 pounds. If you could see his feet, you'd understand his name: he's wearing Keds on the front and high-tops on the back. He's a chow hound (if that term can apply to a cat), loves to be loved and petted. He spends a lot of time in my lap when I'm at the computer, and snuggled up next to me in bed.

Socks, the black tuxedo kitty, as a female a little over 8 years old. She's wearing footies on the front and white knee socks with black heels on the back. She weighs all of 7 pounds, but she rules the roost. The other night she had sneakers down on his back, with her on top, chewing on him. He never made a sound, just pushed her off and went lumbering away down the hall. She also sleeps on the bed with us, usually snuggled up against the back of my knees. Between the two of them, I can barely turn over!

Since our children have left home, these are our kids. Both of them will come when called and give us a great deal of love and joy.

Default red-head girlfriend

Here's my little red-head girl friend, Sydney. She's a rambunctious, energetic, fiesty little thing like you'd expect a red-head to be. She has a narrow waist, a well-rounded chest, beautiful brown eyes and loves to be in bed with my wife and I....
