Spam happens because it works. Just like TV infomercials. I wish people didn't bite but they do all the time.

True Spam Story....Black Bear got into my cache once. Trailed him for a mile by the litter trail he left. Found an unopened spam can with 1 thats right just 1 puncture in it from a tooth and the can was sucked completely empty Not even a drop of liquid in it! Now that is either some suction power or he has a 1/4" tongue because thats all the bigger the hole was.

Spamming is all about percentages. In baseball hitting the ball only 25% is good. The same year Babe Ruth had the most home runs he also broke the record for strike outs. With spam you send out 5 MILLION and if only 1 tenth of a percent get caught you have scored BIG TIME!

Very true. Email spammers send out junk to 100s of thousands of people. Even if .01% of them bite it works for them. It also usually costs them nothing except a little time.
