If you want to discuss the wonders of the 30-30 Marlin for taking meat in thick brush feel free. You want to discuss the virtues or flaws of a Taffin test, fine. Want to compare a 10mm to a .40? Let it rip.

TECHNICAL and COLLECTOR discussions only. But no more gun rights or gun ban or gun political threads. They always devolve into personal attacks. We do not allow our members to engage in personal attacks on woodworkingtalk.com

If the tech/collector/hunting/repairing/general gun discussions can't even take place without the personal attacks then the whole wonderful topic (yes I am an unapologetic gun-lover) of guns will be verboten. That would really stink.

The funny thing is, if these discussions were happening around a pancake-laden table at IHOP and you were all armed to the hilt, you wouldn't be insulting each other . . . . you'd be asking each other to pass the maple syrup - and you wouldn't forget to say ....."please"!

Any questions? Write your congressman. Most of you have never done that in your whole lives.
