Default LOML is asking me what I want for Christmas...

And the only thing that comes to mind is... Wood. Specifically QSRO, and a LOT of it... I really mostly want to get moving with a Kitchen Cabinet redo project that I keep letting slip because I don't have the material...

I wonder how safe it would be to send her to the lumber yard with my BIL in his truck with a note explaining exactly what I want?

Would you be happy with the end result if your not happy with the beginning material? You might feel like you wasted all of your time.

Get a gift certificate from said lumberyard and pick it yourself. I wouldn't trust anyone to pick out my lumber for me if it was something as critical as QS oak, even if it is just red oak.
