Default Interesting Sign

I took this picture while at the coast about a week ago. I was sitting in the pickup waiting for my wife, and started to take a picture of a woman walking her dogs behind the sign, but decided not to because of the womans female partner standing by the sign giving me the "Evil Eye"

I saw one the other day, wish I had got a pic of it. We had the daughter at the park playing on the playground, were attached was a very official looking sign that stated "Please, keep all canine children off of playground". Now I know a lot of you love your dogs, but when did dogs start being qualified as children. Are woman giving birth to dogs?
