Question How many members from Michigan?

I have received a few requests for "help" with projects from members locally, and I've offered to help some as well. I was wondering if it would make sense to start a list of members located by state.... I started my own list but got dicouraged...to much trouble doing a "state" search here. Would the administrator be able to list the members by state as well as screen name? Any one else think this is a good idea? Who knows? we might be talking/typing to someone in the next town over.
I noticed lot of members in Texas, Florida, Ohio etc. I would like to see all members put their location in their on screen profile as well.
Opinions? bill

Maybe location should be a required field on the
registration?

Default State Lists

Bill,
I think listing members by state is a good idea. I have sent a couple of pm,s to people in Fl. I assume we would not give out specific locations so what would be the problem with having state lists. I have already found a gentleman from the local woodcraft store in Ft. Myers that is involved on this forum. LOML keeps asking me if i have ever met a stranger, answer--NO, guess thats just the way i was raised.

Default Thanks BHOFM

I had a lot of fun coming up with words that fit that BHOFM.
B= Bad, Big, Bare, Brainy
H= House, Head, Hungry, Horny
O= Old, Over, Ornry,
F= Fart, Fine, Famous, Fat, "F" word
M= Man, Maker, Mine, Meanie,
I probably would have gotten there eventually..... bill
Yeah, I think a state/country of origin location should be required, and verified. We get a lot of those spammers from Lord knows where with multiple "Thank Yous" and "Good information" posts with a link to a website and that all. They just clog up the new post page to my total frustration. So I spam them back.....''Really!" bill

Sounds like a good thought to me, just my 2 cents.
