Default Good people

I just want to start off by saying that there are good people in these forums. My 11 year old daughter, for the past several years, has been making beaded bracelets and selling them at her school. All of the profit that she makes, she donates to the Canadian Cancer Society. She has many certificates of thanks from the organization. Anyway.............my wife, joined the crafting forum that was brought to our attention recently by Nathan. New Craft Forum
She enjoys it as much as I enjoy the woodworking forum. She was telling a Crafting Forum member about my daughter and this woman does basically the same thing in the United States. Being a cancer survivor herself, she was very impressed with the fundraising efforts of my 11 year old daughter. Out of the goodness of her heart, she made my daughter a custom bracelet and mailed to us here in Canada with a little hand written note explaining why she chose the colours and the beads that she did. That is just above and beyond. Although she will probably never see this post, I thank her for making an 11 year old girl very happy.
I started the post by saying it and I'll end it by saying it, there are good people in these forums.

Most certainly. And on the other hand, there are guys like....well, I won't make a list.

That's quite a charitable endeavor by your daughter. I'm glad to hear she received such a nice surprise.

There are good people on these forums. It's nice to tell them so, and thank them. You could have your wife post the link to this post as a "thank you". Beautiful bracelet BTW.

Great idea!!! I can't believe that I never thought of that. My daughter has sent her a hand written thank you note. I will suggest to my wife that she posts a link. Thanks for you the suggestion and I agree, she did a fantastic job on the bracelet. It's gorgeous. It would be nicer made of oak and maple, but I'm biased.
