Default Even The Kitchen Sink!!!!

There are probably homes on your street that you pass every day and just take them for granted, they being just peripheral scenery. My street is like that. There are homes I just drive by every day and only take notice if there is something eye catching like a '32 Ford coupe, or some sports car with more than 8 cylinders, or a cardboard sign with the words written in black magic marker: GARAGE SALE.

I'm a sucker for garage sales and have a big problem just driving by. Yesterday, it happened on my street, not even 2 blocks from my house. So, I stopped and there was "stuff" everywhere. They had a folding table set up and at one end was a kitchen sink (single basin) filled with kitchen type stuff, with a little sign taped to it saying ALL ITEMS $1.00.

Well inside the sink there was some old Tupperware, some can openers, several spatulas, a rusted out BBQ serving set, miscellaneous flatware, hardware items like boxed hinges, nails, and other junk.

As I was sifting through the junk at the bottom of it all I found this:

A brand new-never used (as far as I can tell) spokeshave, just laying there amongst all that junk and I got it for $1.00.

Default garage sales

Cabinetman,
Nothing like a good ol' garage sale or flea market. I used to enjoy the flea markets while we were camping. There always seemed to be one nearby. I would look for treasures for the camper like good cast iron stuff for cooking, the old aluminum perculator coffe pots, etc. I also would look for old tools. Usually they wanted way too much for them. But occasionally I would fine one. They end up hanging on the wall in the shop.

Nice find, and you didn't have to knock over any little ol' ladies to get to it.
