Default Carpenter Ants???

I have been cleaning my wood/tool shed to make room for some new toolboxes and every board I move is covered in big black carpenter ant. Their everywhere, their everywhere. Has anyone found a way to keep them out of your wood storage? My shed (the one in my avitor ) is full of small cypress boards, moldings, 1x4s, 1x6s, and plywood along with 30 or 40 french doors. Any ideas on running them out and keeping them out would help?

Have you tried eating them, not bad just fry them in bacon grease after they find out you're eating them there gone.

Search this forum. There was an extensive recent post. Apparently there is a powder that stops'm in their tracks.

Boric acid crystals are good. Non-toxic for us and animals, but the sharp crystals cut them to shreds. But carpenter ants are looking for moisture, is there wet wood somewhere?? Check for leaks.

We use a chemical called Deamon. We get it at the large feed stores or farm and ranch supplier. It's not harmful to pets once it dries. Kills spiders and scorpians when they walk accross it as well. Great stuff.
