Default Any Nebraskans need some extra $$$?

Is anyone in or near Lincoln Nebraska? I need to hire someone to go put their eyes on a T300 Bobcat skid steer in Lincoln. The asking price is so low it makes think it's a scam, but if it isn't I'm going to wire the money to the guy pronto.

But unless I can get some boots on the ground there, I have to treat it as a scam. I would just need you to take it for a spin, or watch him do so if you are not willing to, verify the serial number he gave me, look at his driver's license (" . . . the guy asked me to look at you driver's license" . . . ), and snap a few pictures if you have a camera. It has 3 attachments and I would like to verify that as well.

Obviously I would not hold you liable in any way should I discover a major problem after taking possession. I would put this in writing for you.

I'll pay a generous amount (fuel and travel time on top of that if you are not right in Lincoln) to anyone who can do this. Whether or not I buy it obviously you would still be paid the same as if I bought it. Interested parties please email your phone number to kevin@texastimbers.com and a time to call.

I would search out a heavy equipment repair shop in the area, or a one man mechanic, and have them look. I paid $7900 for my T200 bare (no attachments) and spent another 3 on a new bucket, 2 rollers, and one track. But, the difference being is that I have owned them for many years, and knew what to look for. A guy showing up for a "test drive" that doesn't know Bobcats would be at a major disadvantage.

Yeah those are good ideas re: a heavy equipment mechanic. I had several people respond both here and at sawmill creek and a couple are bobcat owners and one owns a T300 himself right there in Lincoln so I got lucky with that. But not so lucky with the "seller". I was going to update this thread today. I have little doubt now that this guy is a scammer. What a shame too I could've really used a behemoth like that. Now it's got me looking at them anyway. Just what I need. I have recently purchased an aluminum extrusion die and a brand new CNC router. All I need to do is let go of another 15K on a used T300. I assume that's in the neighborhood of what a fairly decent used one brings, if not 20K.

My little Daewoo has been a great machine, and still is, but it has started to blow hydraulic lines and front main cylinder seals too frequently. I have changed out the fluid several times and new filter each time as well. I know there must be a pressure limit mechanism in the system like a bleed-off valve or something but hydraulic diagrams and symbols are Greek to me.

thanks Cody. But the deal is a scam. I was contacted by an investigator from a MD LEO and have been working with him; I can't say anything about it right now other than that.
