Hi all
Just a couple of pics of my newest jewelry box.The box is black walnut.The background is bookmatched walnut and bird's eye maple;The cardinal is bloodwood; The beak is pink ivory;The face and feet are ebony; The leaves are lignum vitae; The flowers are holly;The branches are zericote and the flower centers are pau-amerillo. 27 pieces not counting the box.



The penny is for reference.

Mike,

That is another incredible piece. What type of saw do you use? Also, do you have a "how to" as to how to make one of these? I think I understand the basics but how do you get all the pieces to fit so perfectly?

Thanks all for the comments.

To Fred--I use an old 16"VS craftsman scrollsaw with #5 double tooth blades.I did a how-to tutorial a while back that helps explain some of the techniques that I use . To me the most important thing is to " Take your time and stay on the line"

I have an old old delta that takes pinned blades. I have been toying around with it lately.

Where is your tutorial. Was it done in a thread?

My intarsia tutorial was done as a series of 6 threads beginning on 2/28/09 and going to 3/11/09. You should be able to use the search under wdkits1 posts to track it down
