Default A little of my work

Hey guys I'm new her and thought I would show a little of my work and offer any advice I can. I've been making duck, goose, predator and turkey calls for 15 years, and the past 4 years I have expanded my turning to other things as well.

Thanks, Brian.

Wow! Nice work Brian, and welcome.

Paul the vase is Pecan. Check out the reflection of the image in the gold band on the call at the top right . . . . you can see his arm and the flash of the camera. Way cool stuff.

Hey!! Welcome to the forum. That's some great turnings you've done there. I hope that you'll have more to post. I look forward to them.

Welcome, Brian. What's that box on the right made from? It's beautiful wood, but I have no idea what it is.

Frank I know you aren't asking me, but I don't see a box. If you mean the call on the top right it looks like snakewood. I wouldn't hazard a guess on any of the bottom five myself. But the vase looks like Pecan/Hickory and that has to be snakewood with those "scales".

ah, I think you're right, TT. I was wondering about it being a call at first but decided it had to be a box. Looking at it again, I think it is a call but not shaped like the others... The snakewood makes sense too... though I've never seen that up close before.

For the ones on the bottom, I'll guess Teak, Walnut, Ebony or (maybe Cocobolo??), Rosewood, and Ebony.

Thanks, guys. I plan on posting a lot more. I have limited internet access. I just moved to the country so my internet is limited to work and my cell phone. So it may take a little bit for me to respond to posts.

Frank, it is a call. It's Prairie Rattltesnake skin I cast under clear polyester resin. The other calls at the bottom are: red palm, bocote, macassar ebony, cocabola and african blackwood.

Brian.
