David - like you, I love to take the gnarliest wood, and the finished product becomes a thing of pure natural beauty. Not easy to work with, but it pays off big when you apply the first finish. Great job!

Very nice. I also save the wild pieces for special uses.

Gorgeous! What did you use for finish? Where did you score that wood on the lids? Inquiring minds want to know. Complements on the splined corners!

Marriage is like a deck of cards. In the beginning, all you need is two hearts and a diamond. Later, you wish you had a club and a spade.

Great (natural) designs and build! Whomever receives any of those boxes will have a unique item, made with a lot of TLC. Thanks for sharing, and be safe.

Beautiful work! What grit did you sand to before applying the finish?
