Default Cross for Church

Installed this today for an Easter unveiling. Was a fun project. The most challenging piece was getting the 45's just right. You cant cheat with wood filler using exotic woods.

I wanted to use woods that represented something in the piece.

Maple (white) - Purity
Bloodwood (red) - Blood
Purpleheart, Yellowheart (purple, yellow) - Royalty
Red Oak - Wooden Cross

I was thinking about adding a small Wenge cross inlayed into the center, but didn't. The Wenge (black) would represent Good Friday. I cut a strip and laid it out, but it didn't look right to me.

Todd it looks awesome! I've been wanting to make a large intarsia world map for missions for my church but we'll see what happens, again looks awesome!
