Default cherry table

This is a table i built for my house. Its made of cherry with a maple inlay and tapered legs. It also has a hand carved "key" dish. Enjoy!

I really like that table. The hand carved dish is unique and something I would not have thought of. Very cool.

Default after thought

thanks ACP! it was acually an after thought. I had the top done but figured it needed something. I worked in a furniture shop a few years ago and I made something similar as my first job their.

Very nice table Jrak,
I was wondering at first, what the heck is a key dish? I didn't notice it at first, I thought that was just the grain pattern. Nice idea.

That's really nice. You've outdone yourself. I especially like the shape of the table. Very different from the norm. I'm with Mike on this one, that it took me a while to see the "key dish". I had to adjust my glasses, get really close to the screen and look through the bifocal of my specs. (man I sound old ) Either way, once I saw it, I wondered how I didn't see it in the first place. Great addition and a really nice job on the table.
