Default Cheese / Bread Board

My mother in law asked me to make something to donate to her elementary school (she's a teacher) for a fund raiser that's coming up. I wanted to give her something more than a pen, and I've been wanting to make a cutting board, so this is what I (and she) ended up with. A cheese / bread board with cheese knife, bread knife, and I even threw in a couple confetti lights.

The board and confetti light holders are hard maple, mahogany, bubinga, and leopardwood, and the knife handles are bubinga and leopardwood.

The board was finished with mineral oil, the knife handles with lacquer and Shellawax friction polish, and the confetti light holders are paste waxed.

I hope this set brings them a bunch of money at their silent auction!

Very Nice Dano,
I especially like the way the cutting board turned out. Quite an eyecatcher.

Dano it looks pretty darn nice and a great gift idea. Excellent choice of the different woods for contrast. I hope it pegs them a bunch of money.
