Unhappy Throat Plate fof Router table

I'm looking for throat plates or something that will work as throat plates for a Craftsman Professional router table adapter plate. I bought the adapter plate (which doesn't come with throat plates) a few years ago and have only had to use large pieces on it so far. I built a router table that's smooth and works great for larger items but I can't work with small pieces on the table due to the lack of thoat plates--not safe. I've called/visited SEARS and searched on line but can't find anything. I could probably make some but haven't really dialed in a technique for making exact circles that small that could snap into the adapter plate. The plate seems designed to take throat plates but I can't find any.

I've seen a bunch of great alternatives that I could buy but don't have excess funds and the current table works great, just needs throat plates.
