Thanks to the wife.

My wife decided to get me a sweet toy for Christmas. Somehow she remembered the model number. So I finally got it together and wow is it nice. Very quiet compared to my Craftsman contractor saw. Can't wait to start making stuff now. She does keep mentioning a China Hutch. Maybe that's why I got it.

That's a nice wife you got there. You might have a keeper on your hands.
Nice saw. Make sure you let us know how you like it. Maybe even a full review in the tool review section.

There is a very fine line between a "hobby" and a "mental illness"

I agree with Ken, nice wife you got there. I also seen the end results of a very excited woodworker who got a new toy , you must have thrown the boxes after you removed the inards .

China hutch. Hope that you realize that it is tough to build everything you need to make a hutch with on a TS.

Your wife is definitely "a keeper". Get her to tell you what else she wants you to build for her so you can tell her what other tools she will need to buy you to build those things. Good luck with the hutch.

Very nice! I'm still working on my wife, however. I told her to let Santa know that I needed a planer in order to get a lot of the things she wants built. She was close. Darn those tool makers for putting the name planer behind the name jointer! I did, however rectify that today!

Nice saw and nice wife! I take it that is the new Ridgid hybrid? I asked about that saw at one of the local Home Depots and the tool guy knew nothing about them. Good luck with it!

Nice saw, but please don't mention the China Hutch thing. I am needing to build one... And I don't want to, yet...

Interested in my woodworking, workshop and whatnot? See http://daves-workshop.blogspot.com, want to see my other interests such as hunting, fishing, off roading, and camping? See http://wildersport-outdoors.blogspot.com
