Default Table saw vibration

Just replaced my table saw blade with a Woodworker II. Great cuts and smooth running but when I turn the saw off, as it powers down, the whole saw vibrates. I took it off the mobile base but it still happens.

Two things come to mind. 1.arbor washers not fully seated or "dinged" and, 2. Belt not perfectly aligned...unless it's a direct drive.

Default Highly unlikely

A "vibration" would not be caused by a blade that was just ever so slightly angled on the shaft, rather a blade who's arbor hole is not centered. highly unlikely, but still possible. Put another blade on and see if the power down effect remains. I'm guessing the WWII is a full kerf blade and has more of a flywheel effect. If you have a means to check the run out on the blade assembled to the arbor and a means to check the teeth are all radially concentric, the same distance out from the center, that would be a place to start. The other place to start is on the phone to Forrest and request tech support. They may send out a new blade.? bill

BTW I start shaking when I'm turned off too.

gpg,
To add to what Woodenthings said, if your saw is a belt drive, how old is the belt? They can take a set after awhile and cause a vibration on power down like you describe. If you have a belt, I would recommend replacing it with one of the link belts that the woodshops sell. They run smoother all the way around. Let us know what you find.

i'd give 2:1 odds that it's a belt issue.
