Default Table saw

OK another question about one of my tools not working (probably due to being moved cross country in a uhaul).

My table saw (ryobi folding) doesnt seem to be cutting straight. When I set the fence and try and run a piece of wood through it seems to hesitate and in a couple cases when I was cutting a small strip (3/4 off of 3/4 mdf) it actually shot the piece that I just cut back at me almost like the fence is not square with the blade. I never had trouble with it before and I am using a very good blade.

Now I have two questions
First: What would cause this and how would I fix it?
Second: I am getting a lot more serious about my woodworking (new kitchen, trim, wood floors etc) on a foreclosed house we just bought. So is a $300 ryobi table saw not going to cut it and should I just replace it? I just spent $2300 on lumber so I'd rather spend a little more and use decent tools then wreak some of it by being cheap.

The fence may have gotten banged during shipping thus knocking it out of alignment. Check it by measuring from fence to blade, on the front and back edge. Measure from fence to BLADE TOOTH EDGE, not to the body of the blade.

Looks like we're the only one on here tonight. Merry Christmas.

Don't know anything about your saw but here is a Ryobi saw and there is a link on the page for the manual.

There is most likely an adjustment on the fence. Mine has 2 bolt heads on the top of the fence that I loosen to adjust the fence.

Well according to this... http://www.newwoodworker.com/reviews/bt3100rvu.html the saw is better than most, low budget saws and there should be instructions in the user manual in regards to fence adjustment also according to the review. I prefer a cabinet saw, recently purchased a Ridgid R4511 as a replacement for a saw similar to yours... best thing I've ever done... However, the Ridgid has been discontinued, but if you can find one, I'd jump on it... Happy Birthday and Merry Christmas. If you don't have the instructions that came with the saw, let me know and I'll try to find the information for you.

I checked out that saw and it looks really nice and I want one but then I came across this. You might wanna call ridgid and check out on the recall to see if your affected.
