Default shop fox fence

Just bought a new 1023 SWL with a shop fox fence. Jim Toplins TS book(if you're familiar with it) has a nice universal fence system. Only issue is you need to drill and tap into your existing fence to mount it. I'm not too fond of drilling and tapping into something I just paid $ 1,300.00 for. Anyone have any experience with the fence system or drilling and tapping into the top of the fence????
Any help would be appreciated.

Thumbs up

A good tight friction fit and a few well placed rare earth magnets should do.

Default We've been found out

Knotscott - well I guess you now know I lurk on both forums. I like your design by the way. Although, some of the guys are right - I'll get over the newness and probably won't mind drilling and tapping, eventually. On woodnet, one guy had a track mounted on the top as well. I thought that was interesting. Well I better get started making some of these add ons.
Thanks again.

Looks like you've figured out the same about me! You may find that with a tight fit that even magnets aren't required...the little stop on the end keeps it from sliding. You'll figure out something that you're comfortable with. Good luck!
