Default Sears 6 1/8 Jointer Knife Replacements

I just came by an old Sears Model 113.206933 6 1/8 inch jointer/planer with nicked (and very dull) knives. I can find 6 1/8 inch replacement knives but any I have found (except Craftsman) have 45 degree bevels. The Sears owners manual calls for knives with a 38 degree angle. I don't want to use Craftsman knives so:

Does anyone know what the effect of using the 45 degree knives on my jointer will be?

Couldn't you re-shape the new knives to the proper bevel?

I may have to if I can't find the lesser angle.
