Default PSI Tempest142 cyclone dust collector

This is what I've been slowly working on lately. I obviously still need to hookup the bag and do a short run of ducting. The plan is to just run the 6" inlet ducting down to the floor and split it into two 4" intakes to hookup machinery there like I did with my old DC. Funds are pretty tight right now, maybe someday I'll change it, but for now I'd like to just get the thing going. The iron on the wall is a heavy 2" angle iron reversed and fastened with 4" lags into the wall so it's flat on the wall, I have 2" x 6" walls so notching a couple studs isn't a problem. I used stainless steel carrage bolts because it's the only high grade carrage bolts I could find to fasten the DC brackets to the angle iron. The directions tell you to mount a heavy gauge flat iron brace they supply from the motor to the wall, but since the motor is turned slightly that wasn't going to work, so I called them and was told that I could mount the brace at the bottom of the cone, there is a bolting flange there. The DC is mounted solid as a rock now. Since my shop is also my garage, the floor sometimes gets a little wet from parking vehicles in it, so I plan to build a short platform for the fiber drum to sit on. So far I'm pretty happy the unit, it seems well built, and for the money seems like a good value. I'll post more as the progress continues.

Years ago I had the Oneida cyclone dust collection system and loved how it all worked. I did not have the ductwork in place either. I just connected the 6” hose to it and moved it from machine to machine. It just worked great. It also helped keep the air particles to a minimum with very good filtration. Have fun with it. What is roughly the cost of your system? Red
