Looks like a nice list of tools! The only thing I would warn you about, given the size and capabilities of your other tools, is that you might want a bigger Ban saw. One of my first buys was a 14" Jet w/a 1 hp motor. After doing some re sawing on it I found out the motor would over heat quickly and occasionally wouldn't get the height I needed. I've had to purchase a six inch riser kit for it and am now looking for a motor that will fit with a little more HP.

BTW, you'll need more Festool stuff lol

Add: Oops, didn't see the other Ban saw

Default Dream Shop

Do you need an apprentice?? I'd love to work in that shop! Sounds like a lot of fun. Once you get that setup, it may be hard to get you out of there.

Nice size, even nicer to have the time to work in it...

I will only comment on the stuff I know about...

SawStop
Which one? 3HP single phase, 5HP three phase, Cabinet saw, contractor saw. What options? The saw stop is a nice machine, with some great options that can run into a mess of money...

General 10” 350R-T50 table saw
Didn't you just list the SawStop above? Why 2 table saws?

Quote:
General 490-1 15” bandsaw
With the capacities of your other tools, that band saw might not be enough for you...

Quote:
General 16” 75-915 drill press with work light
Both Delta and Steel City have models that have a full 6" quill throw, since you are sinking Caddilac money into this shop, why use a metalwork drill press instead of one designed from the ground up for woodworking?

Quote:
Agazzani 24” bandsaw
Okay, so that 15" band saw might be big enough since you are getting a monster saw as well. Might be hard to shove a tree into this but it might be big enough...

Quote:
Delta DP300L 12” drill press with laser
Good choice. Lots of guys have those and speak very highly of them. But why 2 drill presses?

Quote:
8” dial-a-width Freud dado set
I can't speak for the Freud sets, but I do know the dial in / wobble sets have a reputation for being less than accurate. IMHO, you would be better served by a good stacked dado set. I have the Oshlun and it leaves a laser sharp dado. Couldn't ask for anything more...

With the sheer number of tools, and the size of the shop space, it looks like this is more of a business venture than a hobby shop. The SawStop is a good investment, I would think if you are going to grab one, and need a second table saw, why not have both of them SawStop saws? I mean if you are going to be paying the premium for the SawStop technology already, go all out...

Well being Canadian and a fan of General I would definitely agree with your list. I would probably add the Incra Cross Cut Sled 5000 or the excaliber sliding table to the list rather than the joint tech mitre. I would also add a belt sander to the list, a SCM model is good. And for dust collection I would go with the oneida, with those tools you will need a dust collection and air filtration system. Finally I would also add Festool routers to the list. Not sure if you have any hand tools and measuring tools but Lee Valley would be a good place to start for these things. For saw blades I would consider FS Tool, not well known but excellent high end blades.

Good Luck, look forward to hearing and seeing your future, and hope I get there someday.
