Default new jointer?

I know this has been discussed 1,000 times, but bear with me on this. Grizzly is having a sale. It's time to get an 8 in jointer. The G 0656 w/freight is $ 834.00 - it has a built in mobile base and a 9 x 72 1/2 table. The G 0490 is $ 850.00 delivered, no base and an 8 x 76 3/8 table. I can always put a mobile base on the 490. How important do you think the exta 4 inches of table are. Do you think that 8 inches vs 9 inches wide is an issue? Lastly, are there any other 8 inch jointers out there that I should consider in this price range? I have had good luck with Grizzly, but I would consider another 8 inch in the same price range if it had better features.

Thanks for the input.

I don't have the Grizzly 8" jointer, but I do like my 6". This may be a ride for you, but it is an option I came across today. Powermatic 8" 220v three phase with converter to household.
