Default New Dust collection System

I was able to take advantage of CL deal on a Delta 50-760 Dust Collection system for $240. It was brand new, still in the box. It is a 1.5 HP 1 micron filter bag system. I'm going to run 4" Schedule 20 S & D for the main runs with 4" drops to the table saw, 6" jointer, 14" band saw, router and router table and have a drop for miscellaneous bench tools. Here are a couple of pics:

I'll post some pics after the plumbing is all done.

Lucky bugger. That is THE machine I am looking for. Very nice machine... Build yourself a Thien Cyclone Separator for it and you are good to go...

I am not positive but i think that you can put the motor on the bottom. That way your pipes can come strait in from the ceiling. That might be helpful to eliminate some fittings.

Thanks dbhost, I'll have to look into the cyclone. I guess I'll Google it to see how that would work.

Yes, the motor can be flipped. It's just a matter of turning it over and reversing the bags. Is there any advantage to having the pipes at the ceiling or on the floor? How does gravity play into the equation?

I haven't shot any pics yet... But I picked up the new model (20 amp version) of the Harbor Freight 2HP dust collector. I have fitted it with a Wynn filter. I am fitting a Thien baffle to the inlet ring of my DC instead of the trash can model. I am doing a "stovepipe mod" where the flex hose connecting the impeller to the inlet ring is replaced with 5" galvanized smooth wall and adjustable elbows... You can see another user that has a similar setup http://www.cgallery.com/smf/index.php?topic=145.0

I think this will do what I want it to, and then some...
