hate to be "rumor boy", but heard Ridgid is bringing back the R4511... I can't believe it, but if it's true and don't get too carried away on the pricing.... it'd definately be the "go to" saw...

Not sure what you are worried about. There have been LOTS of fairly nice Emmerson built Craftsman Contractor saws on Craigslist lately, and staying there for a while... It's the same saw as the Ridgid that preceeded the TS3650....

Interested in my woodworking, workshop and whatnot? See http://daves-workshop.blogspot.com, want to see my other interests such as hunting, fishing, off roading, and camping? See http://wildersport-outdoors.blogspot.com

Thanks DB, but I also found a Grizzly G1023SLX about 2 yrs old just outside the city and is asking $750. I'm goin to look at it tomorrow, if its not sold before then. He says he is selling the saw cuz he is changing all his equip to Powermatic.

If I get it, cool. If I don't then it wasn't meant to be and I'll keep looking.

You ask for advice and the number one response is be patient. People aren't telling you this to hinder the search results. When you find that smoking hot deal wherever, you'll be glad you turned on the patience. For example I just picked up a 1990s ish Delta Unisaw + 52"unifence for $125 in good shape, no rust however it has no motor, so I might be $250-400 into it, but I'm still overjoyed.

Hey Chippin,

Sounds like a good deal to me... Me thinks it retailed for around $1200 or so... got good reviews... if it was well taken care of, I think it's a green light.

Hope you ate your Wheaties... I think it weighs in at around 500 pounds...

post some pics if you nailed the deal!

I'm happy for you!! (If you pulled it off)

Well it happened again. I drove about 50 miles only to be beaten by about 30 minutes. Its ok, i cleaned out a spot in my "shop" aka garage for my new saw...whenever I get it. Im being patient. Its all those other jerks that get there ahead of me that burns me up!! just kidding, they got rights too.

God made us from dust, but all we can do is make dust.
