Default My Cross cut Sled

It ain't pretty but boy it works great!
I thought someone could use some ideas off of it.

Please forgive the mess in the shop, I just brought back my
stuff from my son's house after my walkin closet project.

Notice the sled is over size for handling large stock.
I have washers on the rails to fit in the tee slot, which
keeps the sled from tipping when pulled all the way forward.
The stop blocks simply clamp in place with quick grips and
are left with a gap on the bottom of the block to keep sawdust
from collecting behind the stock that is being cut.
Also look at the bottom of the stop blocks, there is a simple brass
screw used as a micro adjust for fine tuning a cut.
There is also a 45 degree block that clamps to the back fence comes inhandy!
The front fence is oak. It is adjustable for when the fence gets out of square.
It has a fixed screw on the right and screw on the left is in a slotted hole for adjustment.

Pulled forward no tipping. Oversized sled made cutting shelves up to
48" long easy and no rollers were needed.

stop block with screw in and out micro adjust screw, the gap on the
bottom keeps saw dust from collecting behind the piece to be cut.

Repeatable cuts are a breeze!

Oak runners with washers for the tee tracks. Dang look at the dust!

"I like that Nik.... Uh... wait... that ain't a Niki post...."

Thanks Terry... I take that as a complement, Niki should be
writing books that one sharp fella!

The 45 degree block clamps to the back fence .
These picture will show that a little better.

What are you talking about?? That's beautiful!! I especially like the oversized dimensions.

With all the crosscut sled posts lately,,,,, I gotta get busy and build a new one.

Nice job, Davet!
