Default Modifications to 52" rail system for DeWalt hybrid saw

I just purchased a used DeWalt 746 hybrid table saw with cast iron wings and mobile base. I am interested in upgrading to the DeWalt 52" rail system, but I do not want to give up the right side cast iron wing. Does anyone know how to modify the DeWalt 52" rail system so that it can be attached to the cast iron wing rather than the saw base? If feasible, is this a job for a small metal shop or can I do it myself? I don't have experience in metalworking.
