Default Looking for a new miter saw

I'm in the market for a new miter saw. I worked as a cabinet maker for 10 years before finding a new career. When I was working in the cabinet business, I was up to date with the latest and greatest power tools and knew what tools to buy. I have been out of that business now for about 5 years and I'm out of the loop. I'm looking at the 10'' sliding miter saws. Right now, I've looking at the Makita LS1013FL and the Hitachi C10FSH. I've read good reviews on both saws, mostly on Amazon.com. I have also looked at both saws and they both look well built. I have used the Hitachi before and liked the soft start and the smoothness of the saw. I like the idea that the Makita is assembled in the good ole USA. Has anyone had the chance to use both of these saws? What were your likes/dislikes?
