The DW745 is a good saw, You might look at the Makita 2704, or the Bosch 4100. They are quality machines about the same $$$

The DW745 is a portable jobsite saw. Just to clarify, are you looking specifically for a portable saw?

Naru,
I have had one of these saws for over a year now. I really like it, especially the gear-driven fence. It always stays parallel, and it pops off easily to switch sides. The table surface is slicker than owl *&^%. The attached push stick is always right there when you need it and the saw itself isn't too heavy. I bought a stand for mine from dewalt. It is steel, hinged like the base of a tv tray table and lightweight. The only problem is they sent me the wrong one. It is meant for one of their other portable saws. I ended up making a plywood insert to sit into the stand. I got the stand on sale cheap enough that I didn't want to return it.
