Default What do you mean attachment?

Flexible shaft? Sanding disc? Chuck with sanding pad. You can change out the blade and replace it with a sanding disc, Sears used to have them long ago. I have one, it's very substantial, about 3/16" thick with different grits on either side. bill

I've seen a chuck.

Sears also sold a disk (10") that you could glue sanding disks to.

I was looking at mine, and the threads are 1/2X20.
Put a chuck on it and do what ever you want!

Unhappy Sanding RAS

Yes John, time was when there was one on my 1975 Craftsman RAS. However, as I recall, at the motor arbor speed, it did more burning than sanding.
