That's a deal alright, but for me, I can only look, because I don't have any more room.

I was at Sears today to buy a new replacement microwave for our kitchen and while the wife was taking care of the purchase, I wandered over to the tool section. I was looking at the Jet 6” planer they had for around $750 and all I could think about was that Grizzly 8” Jointer for $739.00 including shipping.
As soon as I got home I started looking for a place to put one and then it dawned on me, if I get rid of the wood I could put in a jointer. So I spent all day digging a level 10x10 foundation for a new shed to store the wood.
I finally finished digging and as I was resting, it dawned on me, do I really need this? It was no loss because I was planning on building a shed for about a year now anyway, but this got me moving.

Wel I have a confession Bill, My wife works at sears and she watches for deals, Sometimes they have stuff that they are in need to send back to there distributer but it either don't fit on the pallet or she just ask the manager for a price. I got a dewalt 1/2" router combo with the 3 bases list was 350 or something like that, tax warranty and all I paid $35. I also got a dump cart that you pull behind your riding lawnmower for $10. I get allot of good deals.

That settles it; I'm getting a part time job at Sears. Now all I have to do is figure out how I'm going to work a full-time job, plus a part time job, plus college full time and still manage to use all the tools that I could get deals on. Well I always thought sleep was overrated.

Good deal on the Jointer rrbrown. my used jet jointer sold for $220.

Sleeper, same deal here, sort of....I quit WW some years ago, and things just piled up everywhere.
have yet to make anything in the past month since starting again - so far each weekend has been spent cleaning and reorganizing. Installed another 220v outlet. hacked together new lumber+plywood rack in my Shed. The rack, while ugly, is nice to have, its on large casters I bought years ago. holds the wood flat, so its approx. 5' x 9'. did manage to load up on some 200bdft of cherry and 40bdft of Curly maple.
