Default freud box joint set

Is 40.00 dollars worth it or should I spend money elsewhere and use a regular dado set or a router table

If the set is in good condition and the blades are sharp then $40 is a pretty good price.

$40 is a good price for this set...is it new? I haven't used mine yet, but others say it does a super job. My understanding is that it's easier to use than a standard dado and does an excellent job. I can't help but wonder how much more use you might get out of a standard dado set though, unless you do lots of box joints.

it's brand new in the case. It's on clearance at the local hardware store. I guess for that price it's a no brainer, I just wanted to know if it was really practical.

Those sets are 80.00 bucks new so its a great deal. Iconsidered buying this same set but dont know how much I'd use it. Maybe a good dado set is better although more money
