Default Does anyone know of a auto drain or remote

valve (Now here is the biggie) It HAS to work. When I bought the house I enlarged the driveway and built a metal building for my boat (Stratos 201PE) I also wanted a shop. The Before the building was built I ran 220 and another box underground. I also ran a airline out there. Stepson hot his compressor and put it out there. When he gets home he is going to find out he's moving. So I'm going to put mine out there and thats where the remote drain comes in.. I can run it at 2AM and momma won't hear it. Suggestions?

Are you talking about the tank drain? Yes, they make
an automatic that vents each time the compressor
starts for an adjustable amount of seconds.

I worked at a rental shop and we had these on
all the air-water separators in the building.

I guess I do not understand the problem. Why cannot you just manually drain it( I assume BOHFM is correct that you want to drain the air tank on the compressor) just like most other people do? Why does it have to be remote?

I worked in power plants for about 30 years. We used float traps on some systems. Its got to be at the low point. Also, if the compressor is located at a remote locatioin you may get additional condensation in the line from compressor to work location as the air cools. I would check with Grainger for float traps.

It read to me like the shop and compressor are both in the remote location.

Even if it is somewhat remote, you do not drain so often that it would be easy to just do do it.

Default The shop is in the garage and the compressor..

is in the boat building. You are right about not draining it after every use. I tend to get anal on stiff line that. Besides my memory is as bad as obkmbers during a speach.
