Default Delta wood lathe?

I've been looking at lathes for a while; I found one on craigslist yesteday: "12 inch Delta Wood Lathe, new in box, with stand, $250". I tried to do some research and I can't even find a 12" Delta that isn't an antique. Any feedback on Delta lathes? If it was discontinued should I shy away you think?

$250 doesn't sound like a half bad price, with stand. If there are any tools included that would be a bonus. Wood lathes are pretty straight forward pieces of equipment, and there isn't really too much that can go wrong. You might want to check the threads on the head stock and make sure you can purchase accessories such as face plates that have the same thread pattern.

Interesting, I just found one that says " 12 inch Craftsman wood lathe" but it's only $25. No response to my emails though. I tried to find out whether 12" means it's a mini-lathe or if it means you can turn something 12" in diameter. I figured either way, I can't beat $25 for a functional lathe.
