Default Delta Bandsaw binding

I'm having problems with my (cheap) Delta 10" bandsaw. I'm sure I must not have it adjusted correctly. In short, whenever I try to make a curved cut, the blade binds up and "stalls" out the motor. Right now, I just don't know if I have too much or too little tension on the blade, or if the guide blocks are not adjusted correctly either. I've followed the instructions in the manual, and I'm ready to just dump it and look for a shop quality saw.
The saw worked fine out of the box, when I bought it, but since changing blades, I've barely been able to use it.

Default Since "changing blades"?

If you got a new blade from the "factory" put it in and do the following:
UNPLUG THE SAW
Back off all the side guides and back guides.
Center the blade on the wheels by adjusting the tracking knob
which tilts the top wheel.
Adjust the back guides or rollers so they just kiss the back of the blade as you spin it by hand.
Bring the top side guides in the same way, just kissing, while spinning the wheel by hand.
Do the same to the lower side guides, making certain that there is no side pressure to deflect the blade.
Spin the wheel and listen to the sound it should smooth with no grating noises.
PLUG THE SAW BACK IN and power it up! bill
