Default Dado Blade

I need help.

I get a Dado blade for my 10in table saw for Christmas.

And I don't know which one I should get.

So I would like to know what everyone else uses and what they recommend I get?

Thanks...
Chris

A price range would be very helpful...they run for $20 to > $300.

All things being equal, more teeth tends to mean cleaner cuts. Freuds entry level SD206 & SD208 are both decent sets for < $95....They have 12T cutters and 2T chippers. The DeWalt DW7670 / H7200 (also available as the Delta 35-7670) has 24T cutters and 4T chippers, as well as great shim stock and a really nice carrying case....terrific set for < $125 (on sale from Grizzly for $90). The Infinity Dadonator is the best I've used. IIRC it's on sale for ~ $180....super nice dado.

I use the Freud SD208 & like the cuts that have been produced. I have not used it a whole lot, but enough to get a good feel for the quality. You can pick them up for about $95

I have two cheap Vermont American sets and they
do fine..

One thing to check is the length of the shaft on
your TS. Some don't allow for a dado. Some don't
allow for the adjustable dado blades.

Also check the dado diameter that the saw will allow. You may be limited to 6".
