Anyone interested in this saw Sears at Mall of Louisiana has floor model for $300.00 and new in box $700.00, figured someone might want it since I don't need it.

Sorry but I know that one is gone it was 3 months ago, deals like that only last a couple days to maybe a week. They have deals all the time I know spring is good and I would guess Sept - Oct also because they get allot of stuff in and old stuff has to go. Find a store thats close and check around once a week or so for the deals if I see anything thats good and I don't need it I can post it.

A good friend of mine works at sears in the tool dept. He has come up with some unbeliveable bargains on tools they were closing out. Last week he picked up a lith-ion drill kit for $27 and a 95 pc craftsman hand tool set for $30. A couple of years ago he called and said they had a $175 compound miter saw on clearance for $60...I jumped on that one. It's all about being there at the right time...or having a friend who works there

Yes Mike My wife worked in the tool department now she is in dept that sends stuff back that they don't sell. Almost everybody that works there knows I buy allot of the closeout stuff. Just got a $579 jointer for like $217 tax and extended warranty included. I got a $300 De Walt router with 3 bases for $36. Just last week I got a $250 6" belt/9" disc sander for $155 tax included. I'm always looking.

Sometimes the big box stores do the same thing. I was in Lowes and they had a clearance of 14.4V Skil/Firestorm Li-Ion VSR drill for $45. Well, it looked like a toy, but for that money I thought I'd try it out. It's about half the weight and size of my 14.4V PC, and works great.

What they do is when the manufacturers discontinue or upgrade a model, they sell them off. But, when we were looking for a new kitchen sink we saw one in HD that we really liked. About a week later we went back to buy it, and it was gone (from the display) and all stock.

The sales guy said that the manufacturer replaces old stock, picks up remaining stock and trashes it. This was a $300 sink that they just trashed. Doesn't make sense. You'd think they would have a sidewalk sale or something. Or, better yet, offer a special, like if you buy a certain faucet, get the sink for half price...or for free.
