Default Brush sander

Is anyone using a brush sander for post drum sanding? SuperMax tools is the only company I know of that sells such a sander aimed at the small shop. The price is pretty steep, starting at $6400 and the replacement brush cost are extremely high, starting at $1800. Are there any other alternatives? Has anyone made there own?

The only thing that I've ever seen that was similar is the mop molding sander from Stockroom Supply.
Like you said, the Supermax is a little "spendy"!!

Yeah, I found the Stockroom Supply crown molding sander. I suppose if it were a lot wider it would work ok. I could almost justify the $6400 for the 24" supermax brush sander; its just that $1800 brush replacement which I can't get over!

I found a company who can make just about any type of brush. I have no idea how much this would cost but I think I could have a sanding brush made to fit my Delta 18/36 drum sander; replacing the existing arbor. The front/back hold-down guide rollers would need to be mounted on the outside of the casing and a new top lid w/ dust collection port would need to made for brush clearance. I'm pretty sure this would work well. Anybody else interested in this idea?

I can't be the only one-man shop out there looking a better/faster way to sand/de-bur raised paneled doors after the drum sander and in between sealer/ clear coats. (Just to clarify my intention: I'm not looking to eliminate orbital sanding around the door frame. I realize that a brush sander can not sand out perpendicular sanding marks on the rails.)
