Default Belt Sander

I have an old belt sander that my father gave me some years ago. I can remember this tool as a young boy (now 50!). He handed it to me when he upgraded all his tools to Grizzly tools about 10 - 12 years ago. Anyway, this old belt sander has served me well. I went to use it the other day and the motor finally burned itself out!! Now I am faced with either replacing the motor, or a complete tool replacement. Since I don't think I need a "big" sander, I was considering a 12" disc sander to take its place. I came across this one at Grizzly http://www.grizzly.com/products/12-Disc-Sander/G7297 , any comments/suggestions?

Thanks,

Tom

I've had a 12" disk sander for 40 years. Hardly use it. Last time was too long ago to remember. I use the 6X48 belt sander with an 8" disk for most everything.
I'd get the old one fixed and get a belt/disk sander.
