Default Which Band Saw blade

I am the happy recipient of a 14" Rockwell band saw that was laying around at my friends sawmill. It appears to run well. I'm in the process of cleaning up the tires, checking the bearings and putting a new blade in. I have no way of knowing how long the existing blade has been in the machine, so I'm just going to put a new one. The one that is in there is 3/8 - approx 4 TPI. Initially, I'm not going to do any resawing and I know that for that I'll need a wider blade. Can anyone recommend a blade for general shop purposes. I suspect I'll start with 1/4". I just don't know the TPI for general purposes. Also, I presume that since Rockwell was bought out by Delta, the blades for a 14" delta will Fit. I called for and rcvd a catalog from Iturra down in FL, who appear to have everything imaginable for band saws - anyone have any experience with them?
Any and all input will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Ed

Suffolk Machinery has a slew of informative pages, one of which is this blade selection chart. I'd read all the other pages just to be in the know.
