Default 36" Plus Planers in Florida

My assistant and I have been hand finishing most of our projects, but have been limited by locally available planer sizes for larger projects. I want to do some larger projects now.

Does anybody know of the location, biz name of any shop in Florida with a planer that can handle 32" to 41" slabs?

I have no problem travelling anywhere in Florida.

Thank you

Lightbulb Would you consider a router sled?

You could come up with a bridge type rail system out of wood or metal to dress down a wide burl, granted it would take a while and the noise would make the dog hide, but there is some wild stuff on U Tube these days that is similiar. If the max size for a planer is 24", then this concept isn't out of the question. Remember the RAS planer attachments? What about a power planer, the hand held type, mounter on a rail system? You get the idea, and it's not a Stanley jack plane
Check out this on U Tube:

A router sled is at the end. bill

Most custom cabinet shops will have a drum sander that will fit your needs. May only be able to take 64th at a time but will save you lot of money.
